Network Specialist Student from the Netherlands
Hey, I'm Tom! An 17 year-old Network Specialist Student from the Netherlands. I develop small-scaled applications and manage networks, as I study for it. Since young
I've been fascinated by servers, datacenters and networking. Since a couple of years I've been starting to research more about it and have come to a conclusion: I
want to become a Network Specialist and work on networks and servers every day, in-and-out. Further then coding and specializing myself in networking, I work in
retail and Judo as a 1st Ichi-Kyu (Brown Belt).
I'm currently focussing on studying as Network Specialist, after that study I will be looking for oppertunities like working in a datacenter for a company, or starting
a company myself, which has always been my dream to own and setup a hosting company with professional hardware and incredible performance. Future contracts
can be received at admin@cidr24.org. Other inquiries or question regarding this domain or myself, can be send to admin@cidr24.org.
Why cidr24.org as domain? Because it is instantly recognized by technical professionals and because the subnet /24 is one of the most common IPv4 network sizes.
Not only that but also because cidr24.org is a easy remindable domain and is quick to type into the search bar. I choose the .org domain purely since I never used it
before and it sounded the best for a portfolio for a network specialist or anything in relation to technition. "Never used before"? Yes, I have managed an X amount of
domains in the past. Most of them were owned by myself and used by myself, some were owned by a small-sized company or organization. This domain ownership
included Nameservers, DNS, WHOIS, Whitelabeling and hosting. For legal and copyright, please refer to /credits and if it is still unclear, mail to admin@cidr24.org.
What is the logo supposed to be? It's supposed to be a Mosasaurus, by far the best sea creature that has ever been on this planet, I've attempted to combine it with
modern logo stylish themes. Since I wanted to keep this domain somewhat modern but also fashioned. All remaining information can be found at /credits.
In late 2023, early 2024 I start learning how to code. I don't really get involved in big projects or make big applications. I keep it simple with Python and a partly JSON as a data file. Further then coding I start to get more knowledge about electronics and help family, friends and work with electronic related issues.
In late 2025, early 2026 I started to learn how to make static HTML applications. Same as with the other code languages, I kept it basic and not too big. I built small applications for friends and myself, this included some portfolios.
After 2 weeks of waiting I had finally graduated from a high school in Noord-Brabant. After this I decided to select a school for the following years to start specializing myself on a MBO level 4.
After graduating from high school, I decided to pursue my future as a Network Specialist at a school in Noord-Brabant. On this day, I applied to scholarship at this school and decided to work on this portfolio for future projects.
